April 3, 2011 - Tetbury Town 0 – 8 Highworth Town

Tetbury played hosts to Highworth in their penultimate game of the season and started the game very brightly with some committed performances by the boys in orange. However, it was the visitors who scored three exceptional goals in the first half to lead at the interval 3-0. The home team didn't give up but the opposition were simply stronger and went on to finally win 8-0. The last 10 minutes took the gloss of the performance slightly as Tetbury tired and were punished with four goals in quick succession. But, overall, Tetbury can be pleased with their efforts with some very good displays from all involved especially Billy Fudge and Joe Fathers in defence.

March 20, 2011 - Blunsdon Colts A 6 – 0 Tetbury Town

Tetbury travelled to Blunsdon on Sunday for their final away game of the season. They were hoping to continue the good form they have shown in recent weeks but after a slow start they found themselves 2-0 down after only 10 minutes. The home side remained on top and added another two goals to lead at half time 4-0. After some strong half time words of encouragement from managers Jon Cooper and Paul Barron, Tetbury were a completely different team in the second half and their effort and commitment were equal to that of recent weeks. They played some good football at times but unfortunately they couldn't get on the score sheet and it was the home team who added two more in the latter stages to finally win the game 6-0. This was, as they say, a game of two halves and Tetbury can be very pleased with their second half performance but must learn from the first half that you only get out of football what you put in. Man of Match award goes to Josh Bleasdale in the Tetbury goal for some brilliant saves throughout the game.

March 13, 2011 - Tetbury Town 0 - 6  Shrewton Juniors

Tetbury entertained third placed team Shrewton on Sunday on a lovely sunny morning at the rec and started the game full of determination as their tackling and enthusiasm proved. However Shrewton soon got on top and if it wasn't for Josh Bleasdale in the Tetbury goal - and some excellent defending - Shrewton could have scored more than the two they did before the half time break. The trend of the second half basically matched the first, with Shrewton being on top and playing some excellent football, but the desire, commitment and effort from the Tetbury boys was again first class. Although the visitors scored four more to win 6-0, Tetbury can be very proud with their overall performance. All 13 players involved can take huge credit but Man of Match goes to keeper Josh Bleasdale with some outstanding saves, including a penalty.

February 27, 2011 - Tetbury Town Under 0-5 Blunsdon Colts A

Tetbury went into Sunday’s match on a good run of form despite results not going their way in recent weeks. However it was Blunsdon who started the game brighter and, despite some good saves by Tetbury keeper Josh Bleasdale, they scored five times in the first half to go in with a comfortable lead. After some strong encouragement from coaches Jon Cooper and Paul Barron, Tetbury were a completely different team in the second half and more than matched the opposition. They can take huge credit for the way they fought and battled not to concede any more against one of the leagues better sides. Once again every single player played their part especially the defenders Billy Fudge, Solly Scott, Owen Barron and Sam Trinder, but Man of Match goes to Josh in goal for the excellent saves he made throughout the game.

February 13, 2012 - Blunsdon Colts B 6-3 Tetbury Town

Tetbury travelled to Blunsdon on Sunday afternoon in very wet conditions hoping to continue their recent good form and, despite the scoreline, they did exactly that. Town took the lead early on when a Blunsdon defender put through his own net after being pressurised by Tetbury forward Thomas Bury. Blunsdon equalised soon after but Town took the lead again with a cool finish inside the box from fellow striker Kyle Ind. The match was very equally balanced but it was the home team who scored three in quick succession to lead at the break 4-2.

Again in the second half there was nothing to separate the teams and Tetbury reduced the deficit when midfielder Laurence Cooper scored his first goal for Tetbury with a delightful finish. This set up a tense final few minutes but for all their efforts Town conceded two more to finally lose 6-3. It has to be mentioned that Tetbury have in recent weeks improved immensely and their commitment and attitude is first class. Every player involved can be proud of their continued efforts so the entire team this week get the Man of Match award.

February 6, 2011 - Tetbury Town 1-2 Wickham Wanderers

Tetbury played their first league game in three weeks against Wickham, hoping to achieve a much needed victory that would be well deserved after their recent efforts. They got off to a fantastic start when an inch perfect through ball by Laurence Cooper was neatly finished by Thomas Bury to put Town 1-0 up. Tetbury dominated the first half and played some great football but couldn't get that all important second goal. It was the visitors who equalised before the break with an absolutely stunner from 25 yards out that gave keeper Josh Bleasdale no chance. The second half was equally balanced with Thomas Bury coming close on a couple of occasions whilst Bleasdale made some fine saves to keep the scores level. Unfortunately for Tetbury, it was Wickham who scored the winner in the last minute of the game. This was harsh on a Tetbury team that have put in some excellent performances in recent week. Every single player deserves credit for this and they are improving with each game they play. Solly Scott gets the Man of Match award for his non-stop running and excellent defending.

January 9, 2011 - Cirencester A 11 - 0 Tetbury Town

After a six week break due to extreme weather conditions, Tetbury finally enjoyed a game against local rivals and league leaders Cirencester. Tetbury battled well on a very frosty pitch and their effort and commitment was equal to that of the opposition. However, quality prevailed and Cirencester went in at half time 4-0 up. In the second half Tetbury were not so switched on, especially in the first five minutes, allowing the home team scored four goals. Tetbury eventually regained some belief and when they concentrated they were more than a match for Cirencester. The home team added three more to win 11-0 but the signs were very promising for Tetbury with some encouraging individual performances.

Tetbury’s U11 squad is looking for new players and anyone interested in joining should contact manager Jon Cooper on 07780 547449.

November 21 - Shrewton Juniors 8 - 0 Tetbury Town

Tetbury travelled to Shrewton with an illness-depleted squad of only 11 players. Despite the scoreline suggesting otherwise, Tetbury put up a very encouraging display. In the first 20 minutes they were more than competing with determined performances from everyone, especially keeper Josh Bleasdale who was on top form making some brilliant saves. However, despite this Shrewton went in at half time 3-0 up. Tetbury hoped to continue this trend in the second half but on a the home team proved to be too strong for Town. Tetbury can again be proud of their attitude and commitment in what is a very competitive league and if they continue like this the future will soon start to look brighter.  Man of Match goes to goalkeeper Josh Bleasdale for some outstanding saves.

November 14 - Tetbury Town 0 - 12 Purton Youth A

Tetbury Town hosted Purton Youth A on Sunday - the last remaining team with a 100% record in the league. Town were hoping to put the previous week’s poor performance behind them and despite the scoreline they did this by showing a 100% improvement in attitude and commitment. They competed excellently for the first 20 minutes and were only two goals down against very impressive opposition. It was slightly harsh on the hosts when the half time score was 0-5 with Purton scoring three in quick succession just before the break. In the second half Purton played some brilliant football, which was a pleasure to watch for this age group, and although Tetbury never gave up they were simply outplayed. MOTM: Solomon Scott for his never give in attitude and excellent tackling and heading.

October 24 - Tetbury Town 2 - 2 Ramsbury

After the disappointment of previous games, Tetbury were determined to get their season back on track when they entertained Ramsbury on Sunday. The first 15 minutes were equally balanced but Ramsbury got the first opportunity to score when the referee awarded a penalty after Laurence Cooper brought a player down in the box. However Josh Bleasdale in the Tetbury goal made a fine save to keep the score goalless. Soon after, Tetbury took the lead when George Aplin chipped the keeper from outside the box. Tetbury were now playing really good football and Tom Heslop had a couple of fine efforts that could have doubled Town's lead. The second half was very evenly balanced but it was Ramsbury who scored two in quick succession. Tetbury didn't give up and they equalised when Kyle Ind got on the end of a fine shot from Alpin to poke the ball home. This was a brilliant performance from Tetbury with every single player playing their part.

MOTM: Solly Scott for his excellent tackling and non-stop running.

October 10 - Tetbury Town 0 - 3 Wickham Wanderers

Tetbury made the long journey up the M4 to Hungerford on Sunday where they hoped to pick up their first points of the season against faced fellow league strugglers Wickham Wanderers. In an evenly balanced contest the score remained goal-less at the break despite Tetbury's George Aplin trying his luck with a few attempts on target. Tetbury changed tactics in the second half with keeper Josh Bleasdale coming into midfield to try and get the ball forward, but Wickham broke the deadlock on the counter attack. It was always going to be an uphill struggle after this and the home team scored twice more to take the three points. Tetbury are low on confidence but their attitude remains first class and with a little more concentration in key areas they will soon turn the corner. A special mention must go to full back Billy Fudge who gets the Man of the Match award for his commitment, attitude and overall defensive display.

October 3 - Tetbury Town 0 - 11 Cirencester Town

Tetbury entertained their close rivals Cirencester on Sunday in their first home fixture of the season. Tetbury started brightly against a very good Cirencester team but couldn't stop the visitors taking the lead once they found their rhythm. Tetbury did well to keep the score down but went in 0-5 down at half time after Cirencester scored three very quickly. In the second half the visitors played some outstanding football, which was a pleasure to watch. Josh Bleasdale in the Tetbury goal made a brilliant penalty save and were it not for him the score would have been much greater. Cirencester eventually ran out 11-0 winners but credit also must go to Tetbury who are finding it tough in this new level of football, although they should be proud of their attitude and commitment.

September 12 - Highworth Town Juniors C 13 - 0 Tetbury Town

Tetbury travelled to Highworth for their second match of the season, taking with them two debutants, Ethan Steele and Kyle Ind. Also making his first start of the season was the ever reliable Joe Fathers. Tetbury were very slow to start and were under immense pressure early on, finding themselves 4-0 down after only 10 minutes. Highworth kept their foot of the pedal and seemed to hit the back of the net every time they attacked, including a couple of screamers that left Josh Bleasdale with no chance in the Tetbury goal.

At half time Tetbury were 9-0 down so managers Jon Cooper and Paul Mckenzie did their best to lift the Tetbury players’ spirits. To their credit they put in a very committed second half performance that they can be proud of and only conceded four more against very good opposition. Tetbury are currently finding junior football very tough as opposed to mini football but they just need to keep their heads up and work hard as they did in the second half of this game. If they can do that they will no doubt improve. Man of Match Joe Fathers.

September 5 - Ferndale Rodbourne 6 - 0 Tetbury Town

Tetbury Town travelled to Ferndale in their opening league game of the new season, which was also their first game since they made the jump to 11-a-side football. On a much bigger pitch than they were used to, the Tetbury boys soon settled and were more than competing with their host rivals, nearly taking the lead when a shot from George Aplin outside the box tested the Ferndale goalkeeper. However Ferndale soon took control of the game and it was no surprise when they scored on 15 minutes. Tetbury never gave in but it was the hosts who scored two more in quick succession just before the break to go in at half time 3-0 up. In the second half Tetbury again competed well but during the later stages they tired quickly and Ferndale eventually ran out 6-0 winners. Josh Bleasdale in the Tetbury goal had a brilliant game and Solomon Scott in midfield also had a fine match. Credit must be given to the Tetbury team as a whole for the way they adapted themselves in this different level of football, which is not what they are used to.

12 December Rodborough Crusaders 11 - 0 Tetbury Town

An early free kick to Tetbury on the edge of the Rodborough box was one of few chances for Tetbury, with Harry Atley shooting just wide. Rodborough then took the initiative and some neat flowing football brought them the lead after just four minutes. Good saves from the Tetbury keeper Luke Norris kept them at bay until midway through the half but eventually they scored three more goals to go into the half time break 4-0 up.

Rodborough increased the lead to 5-0 early in the 2nd half but the Tetbury players didn't lose heart and were unlucky not to get a couple of goals. Skipper George Dandridge fired a shot just over the bar and, shortly after, a fine run and shot from Man of the Match Jordan Crosthwaite was saved by the keeper. Callum Hoare was in goal for Tetbury in the 2nd half and he made some fine saves but couldn't prevent Rodborough from scoring, with the final tally 11-0 to the home team.

5 December - Tetbury Town 1 - 6 Rockleaze Rangers Black

Despite being under pressure from the start, Tetbury defended well and managed to hold Rockleaze off until the sixth minute when they scored their first goal. This set the scene, with Tetbury's defence continually called upon to halt Rockleaze's attacks. Tetbury had one chance when a shot from Harry Atley went wide, but by half time, Rockleaze were 0-3 up.

The second half started with a long range effort from Man of the Match Jordan Crosthwaite that went wide and a good save by Callum Hoare. But a minute later Rockleaze scored again and despite Tetbury’s valiant efforts they soon increased their lead to 0-5. Midway through the second half Tetbury’s captain George Dandridge played a great ball into the box to Harry Atley, whose cool left footed finish made the score 1-5. More saves by Callum in the Tetbury goal kept the scoreline relatively respectable, however one more goal from Rockleaze made the final score 1-6.

21 November - Golden Valley Rangers 4 – 0 Tetbury Town

Tetbury started strongly and had a shout for a penalty turned down after a good run by Harry Atley. Soon after, a fine shot by Man of the Match Zac Robins was saved by the Golden Valley keeper. Tetbury continued to attack with great interlinking play between Tom Fisher and Harry Atley who was running the game. Jordan Crosthwaite came close to scoring with a thunderbolt from near the halfway line. A rare breakaway by Golden Valley brought them a goal against the run of play halfway through the first half and this shook Tetbury, but they soon got back into the game with Tom shooting just wide and a shot from Harry hitting the bar. To make matters worse Golden Valley nicked another goal just before halftime and went into the break 2-0 up.

The second half saw Golden Valley start strongly and score again to make it 3-0. Tetbury couldn't find the same level of football again and Golden Valley took control, completing the scoring with a final goal just before the end. Tetbury still has to find that elusive away win this season.

15 November - Tetbury Town 3 – 0 Cam Everside

Tetbury got off to a bright start for this home game with the whole team playing neat football. Chances began to come with efforts from Zac Robins, Luke Freeman and Jordan Crosthwaite all going close. The breakthrough came with Tom Fisher’s lovely shot from outside the box that beat the Cam keeper. This was quickly followed by a goal from Harry Atley. Two minutes before the interval Tetbury made it 3-0 with a goal from Callum Hoare, a fine reward for some outstanding play by the home side.

The second half saw more pressure from Tetbury. Shots from Jordan Crosthwaite, George Dandridge and Luke Freeman brought fantastic saves from the Cam keeper. Cam never gave up and created some chances of their own, including a fine shot from their striker which was saved by Tetbury keeper Luke Norris. A fantastic display from Tetbury skipper George Dandridge earned him the title of Man of the Match and ensured that Tetbury kept their second clean sheet of the season. At the other end an outstanding performance by the Cam keeper meant the score remained the same at full time, 3-0 to Tetbury.

24 October - Forest Green Rovers 11 - 2 Tetbury Town

Tetbury Town’s U11s had a bad away day on Saturday when Forest Green took the initiative from the kick off and were ahead within two minutes thanks to some neat flowing football. With the rain pouring down, Tetbury weren't able to create any chances of their own, and despite valiant defending by Zac Robins and George Dandridge, Forest Green were 5-0 up at half time.

The second half saw more of the same and unfortunately Tetbury’s woes were compounded when they lost their keeper, Luke Norris, due to injury. Callum Hoare was a brave replacement and managed a couple of good saves, but Forest Green continued to find the back of the Tetbury net and stretched their lead to 10-0. However, Tetbury didn't give up and they tried to attack Forest Green in search of a consolation goal. This duly came following a goalmouth scramble with Luke Freeman poking in from close range. Right at the end of the game Tetbury scored another when Sam Hoare finished from a George Dandridge assist.

Tetbury’s squad consisted of captain George Dandridge, Zac Robins, Luke Freeman, Tom Fisher, Sam Hoare, Callum Hoare, Dominik Bucki, Ruben Chapman and Luke Norris, who was voted Man of the Match by manager Ian Chapman.

10 October - Kings Stanley United 12 – 1 Tetbury Town

With Tetbury missing three key players, this was a one sided away match in which Kings Stanley dominated from the kick-off with neat, passing football. By half-time they were deservedly 4-0 up. Credit, however, must go to the Tetbury players for not giving up or letting their heads go down.

The second half continued in much the same way with Kings Stanley continuing to score freely. Tetbury did get one consolation goal when Tom Fisher’s corner was deflected in by a Kings Stanley defender. This was a much deserved reward for a battling performance by Tom.

The squad, managed by Ian Chapman, all gave their best effort . They included Luke Norris, Zac Robins, Sam Hoare (C), Callum Hoare, Dominik Bucki, Ruben Chapman and Man of the Match Jordan Crosthwaite, who earned the title for defending well right up until the final whistle.

30 September - Tetbury Town 2 - 0 Golden Valley Rangers Chalford

Tetbury’s squad, managed by Ian Chapman, included Man of the Match Jordan Crosthwaite, Luke Norris, George Dandridge (C), Harry Atley, Luke Freeman, Tom Fisher, Sam Hoare, Ruben Chapman, Callum Hoare and Dominik Bucki. Continuous flowing attacking movements produced numerous efforts that either just missed the target or were saved by the Golden Valley keeper. With Tetbury's defence again keeping a disciplined shape, Golden Valley were denied any opportunities at goal. With Luke Freeman and George Dandridge coming closest to scoring, Tetbury couldn't find the net and the half time score was 0-0.

In the second half, Tetbury continued to take the game to Golden Valley. Tom Fisher produced a great shot only to see it hit the bar. Eventually Tetbury got their deserved breakthrough when Tom Fisher’s lovely, floated free kick into the box was put into the net by Sam Hoare. The equaliser eventually came through with 4 minutes remaining, a disappointing scrappy goal for Tetbury to concede. Heartbreak for Tetbury followed two minutes later as Kings Stanley scored another goal, a fine effort from the left edge of the penalty area sealing the win. A valiant effort from all the players and a superb match for the neutral spectator!

A tightly fought game with Tetbury going ahead in the 3rd minute through a headed goal by Harry Atley. Stonehouse levelled in the 9th minute as a result of a penalty being awarded. Tetbury then had a penalty for handball by a Stonehouse defender but it was well saved by the keeper. Further goals by Sam Hoare (2) and skipper George Dandridge made it 4-1 to Tetbury at half time.
