    March 27, 2011 - Hardwick Rangers 0 - 6 Tetbury Town

Tetbury's first goal came twenty minutes into the game when a cross from Joe Hemming was punched out by Hardwick’s keeper to Ant Hilman who struck a half volley into the bottom corner. Tetbury increased the pressure and had a couple of half chances, before the ball was played over the top for Charlie Davies to run onto. He went round the advancing keeper and rolled the ball into the empty net.

The second half saw Tetbury increase their lead from a corner. With Hardwick struggling to clear their area, the ball came to Charlie who drilled it home for his second, His third came soon after when a passing move involving Ant and Joe allowed Charlie to run onto the ball and shoot across the keeper. Tetbury had to stay switched on at the back to keep Hardwick out and Will Marks made a great diving save to his left to stop the ball going in by the post.

Tetbury weren't finished with the goals with Jack Lake getting his first after Alex Bryce put a low cross into the box and Jack shot across the keeper high into the net. A run down the right and a cross from James Warner gave Jack his second when he met the crossed ball and chipped it past the keeper.

    March 13, 2011 - Tetbury Town 4 - 1 Nailsworth

Fifteen minutes into the game Tetbury got their first goal when a through ball reached Charlie Davies who got into the box and squared it to Joe Hemming at the back post. He side footed the ball into the empty net. Tetbury's second came to Joe again when he ran onto a ball from Charlie and this time shot across the goalie into the bottom corner. After some quick passing play the ball was knocked into the channel for Conor Wood, who ran with the ball into the area and found the back of net from a tight angle.

Tetbury then went to sleep and Nailsworth took advantage and scored one back. They continued to put pressure on Tetbury but some last ditch defending and quick reactions from goalie Will Marks kept Nailsworth at bay. The second half saw Tetbury create chances they couldn't capitalize on until Daniel Pulley scored after Tetbury pressured from a corner that Nailsworth couldn't clear properly.

    February 27, 2011 - Tetbury Town 1-2 Hardwick Rangers

This was a must win League Cup game for Tetbury if they wanted the chance to progress to the semi finals. With that in mind Tetbury started well, passing the ball around and getting forward quickly. Unfortunately for Tetbury they found it hard to break Hardwick’s off side traps and when they finally did Hardwick’s keeper made a couple of great saves.

Somewhat against play, Hardwick broke the deadlock with a well taken goal but it didn't take Tetbury long to get back on level terms when Charlie Davies got on the end of a pass from Ant Hilman. The game was real end to end stuff with chances going begging at both ends, Tetbury probably had the better of them but couldn't find the finish. A deep cross and a wonder strike on the volley gave Hardwick the win.

    February 13, 2011 - Slimbridge 2-4 Tetbury Town

Tetbury went with the wind and applied pressure from the first whistle, putting Slimbridge under the cosh with some good movement and quick play. Slimbridge tried to defend but Tetbury moved around creating room and would have quickly gone three up if it wasn't for some good reaction saves from the Slimbridge keeper. Tetbury finally found the break from an Ant Hill man corner that gave Matt Wynter he chance to head the ball in.

The second goal came when Ant sent a low ball into the area giving Jack Lake the chance to break from the left and shoot high into the net. Ant got Tetbury's third when he got onto a pass from the middle and tucked the ball into the far corner well out of the reach of the goalie. Tetbury's fourth came when the ball was cleared from a corner and fell to Oliver Dean who curled the ball into the goal.

The second half saw Slimbridge come at Tetbury and pressure them. Tetbury defended stoutly for twenty minutes until Slimbridge got their first goal from a corner that wasn't cleared fully. Tetbury did break out and had various chances to extend the lead but couldn't quite find the finish. Slimbridge pushed forward and got their second only minutes before the final whistle.

    February 6, 2011 - Dursley 0 – 2 Tetbury Town

After winning the toss, Tetbury kicked up hill against the wind for the first half and worked hard to keep Dursley off the ball. When Tetbury had the ball they passed it quickly to try and catch Dursley on the break. One of these breaks paid off when Joe Hemming got the ball into the box. Although he was blocked, the ball worked its way to Jack Lake who slotted home.

Dursley changed formation in the second half and tried to get behind Tetbury's defence. Tetbury applied their own pressure by mixing up their play with quick passing or long balls from keeper Will Marks. The second goal came when Ant Hilman passed to Charlie Davies who ran into the box and shot low and hard into the bottom corner. Tetbury continued to work hard right to the end to keep a clean sheet and the Dursley keeper pulled of some great saves to make sure Tetbury only scored two.

    January 30, 2011 - Tetbury Town 2 - 0 Cam Everside

Tetbury bounced back after their defeat by Cam last week with a great performance from all players. Tetbury closed down quickly right from the first whistle and it wasn't long before they were pressuring Cam’s goal. With Cam defending stoutly, it took Tebury 20 minutes to break through when James Warner had a shot on goal, which was palmed away to Charlie Davies who scored. Any breaks Cam had were dealt with very calmly by Tetbury's defence of Danial Pully, Josh Cox, Harry Stoker and goalkeeper Will Marks. Tetbury's second goal came when Ant Hillman received a pass just right of centre. He spotted Jack Lake making a run and chipped the ball to him. Jack got his chest to it this touch took him past the keeper, allowing him to slot the ball into the empty net. With a commanding performance by captain Oliver Dean, Tetbury saw the game out comfortably to the end.

    January 16, 2011 - Tetbury Town 3 - 2 Stonehouse

Tetbury started strong with the wind behind them, getting hold of the ball and playing some great passing football all over the pitch. The pressure being applied paid dividends when Ant Hillman put a free kick into the box, allowing Matt Wynter the chance to get a touch on the ball. The result was a home goal when a Stonehouse defender put the ball into his own net. Tetbury kept it tight all over the pitch and Forbes Allen marked Stonehouse' main threat very tightly. On many occasions Tetbury turned defence into quick counter attacks, which led to their second goal when a ball down the left from Alex Bryce reached Charlie Davies who muscled the defender to take a shot. This was palmed away by the keeper but Jamie Warner followed up to slot home. Tetbury went 3-0 up before half time when a ball from Ant Hillman gave Charlie Davies a chance to beat the defender and slot home across the goal. The second half saw Stonehouse take advantage of the wind and apply constant pressure on Tetbury. It took strong defending from Harry Stoker, Matt Wynter, Fobes Allan and Adam Wynter, plus some brave keeping from Will Marks, to keep Stonehouse out for as long as Tetbury did. Stonehouse did get their break through and followed up 15 minutes later with a penalty to make the last 15 minutes of the game nail biting, but Tetbury stuck to the task all over the pitch to get their deserved win.

    January 9, 2011 - Tetbury Town 4 - 3 Dursley Town

A Dursley corner in the first ten minutes of this game gave the visitors the lead after Tetbury failed to track the runners. This mistake spurred tetbury into life and they got hold of the ball and started moving it about rapidly and confidently with lots of one touch passing through the middle. Tetbury created four or five or 5 chances in front of goal but couldn't find the net, until they got a corner which was flicked on by Matt Wynter at the front post for Joe Hemming to find the back of the net. In the second half Dursley came out fast and quicklu went 2-1 up, only to give away a free kick 20 yards out from goal. Ant Hilman stepped up and curled the ball into the top corner of the far post. Dursley then took the lead once more, before Tetbury was awarded a penalty, which Ant Hilman took. The goalkeeper saved it, but only palmed it back out and Ant reacted to slot it home. Tetbury upped the pressure in the last 10 minutes and a good cross in by Alex Bryce gave Charlie Davies he chance to slot the winner inside the near post.

    November 21 - Cam Everside 2 - 2 Tetbury Town

Another close game against Cam, this time in the league cup. Tetbury started well moving the ball around but they couldn't find the final pass to the forward. This encouraged Cam and they pushed strongly through the middle. Tetbury scored first with a nicely timed pass down the channel from Ryan Haskins to Conor Wood, who held off the defender and shot past the keeper. Cam didn't take long though to get back on level terms. Tetbury took the lead again with a great solo run from Jamie Warner who received a ball from Daniel Pully then cut inside, beating three men to finish with a shot into the bottom right. Both sides had opportunities that they couldn't take, before Cam eventually levelled the final score.

    November 14 - Cam Everside 3 - 3 Tetbury Town

Tetbury started the game well, playing some good passing football and had a lot of the ball, but they couldn't find the vital ball to score. Cam slowly got into the game and got the first break to go one up. Tetbury soon equalized when Conor Wood got on the end of a ball and looped it over the advancing keeper. The second half saw Tetbury extend their lead with a ball over the top from Jo Heming and Conor securing his second. Cam came back level, then with 10 minutes to go Cam took the lead again. Tetbury kept strong and pressured around Cam's box and with a minute to go got a penalty, which Ant Hillman took. This was palmed away by the keeper into the path of Jo Hemming who reacted quickly to slot the ball home.

    Tetbury Town 3 – 4 Quedgeley

Tetbury Town lost their top of the table clash to Quedgeley despite a second half fight back. After a poor first half, Tetbury found themselves 3-1 down despite Alex Bryce’s goal for Town in the opening minute. The second half saw them outplay Quedgeley and pull the game back to 3-3 with goals from James Warner and Joe Hemming, only for Quedgeley to score the winner late in the game with a close range effort. Still Tetbury had their chances to equalise, but some great saves by the opposing keeper meant they had to settle for an undeserved defeat.

    October 24 - Hardwick 3 - 3 Tetbury Town

On another fresh sunny morning, this game started slowly with both teams moving the ball around trying to find a way through to goal. Hardwick got the first goal, which seemed to spur Tetbury into raising their game another notch. They broke into Hardwick's penalty area on a number of occasions but just couldn't find the back of the net. Tetbury got back on level terms when Conor Wood beat the defender and the keeper to the ball, which he knocked over the keeper and then headed it into the empty net.

The score remained 1-1 for the rest of the first half, which was hard to believe as there were chances at both ends that players couldn't capitalize on.

Hardwick got the first goal of the second half and the game stayed at 2-1 for a long time. Chances went begging for Tetbury until a free kick was awarded and Ant Hillman found the net. Hardwick bounced back quickly breaking through Tetbury's defence to score their third.

With the game in the last minute, Tetbury pushed forward again and when the ball was handled by Hardwick, a free kick was awarded just outside the box. Ant Hillman took control of the kick again to curl the ball around the wall and away from the keeper into the top left corner, giving Tetbury a well deserved draw.

    October 17 - Stonehouse 2 - 3 Tetbury Town

On a perfect day for football, Tetbury Town went to the league leaders and quickly took full advantage, pushing forward with flowing football and good crosses to put Stonehouse under pressure. This paid off in the first five minutes with Jamie Warner winning a free kick, which Alex Bryce took. He put the ball in the danger area and Ant Hillman timed his jump to head the ball over the keeper and into the goal.

Tetbury kept their passing and movement going and soon got their second when a high ball from Ryan Hankins was flicked on by Jamie Warner. The Stonehouse defender got to the ball before Charlie Davies, but while the defender waited for his keeper to collect Charlie managed to nip between the two and steal the ball to tap it into an empty net.

With Stonehouse shocked, Tetbury kept applying the pressure and were rewarded with another free kick. Ant Hillman took this one and found the back of the net from twenty five yards out. Stonehouse showed why they are top of the table by picking themselves up and getting one goal back before half time. By applying more pressure they got their second goal after the break, but it was nice to see Tetbury still play football with confidence to keep Stonehouse on their toes at the back. Tetbury showed the desire to take all three points home with them by defending strongly all over the pitch. Credit also goes to keeper Will Marks who made some good saves to keep Tetbury ahead.

    October 3 - Tetbury Town 7 - 2 Slimbridge

Tetbury started well on this wet and windy day at and it wasn't long before Slimbridge were on the back foot, allowing Ant Hilllman to test the keeper with a couple of long range shots. One of these was helped back on target from the stomach of Charlie Davies to wrong foot the keeper.

Ant was involved in the second goal when the corner he took was cleared away but came back to him. He then took three players on along the corner line into the box before cutting the ball back to Matt Wynter just outside the six yard box, who then calmly side footed the ball through the crowded box into the net. At two up, Tetbury moved the ball around with more confidence trying to build the play. One of these moves set Jack Lake off into the box and his shot was palmed away by the keeper. Unfortunately for him it was only to Charlie who came in at the back to tap in for his second.

Slimbridge tried to get back at Tetbury with some long high balls but Tetbury's defence of Tom Joynson, Josh Cox, Danial Pulley and Ryan Hankins won the headers and, if they cleared the defence, then keeper Will Marks was there to clear up.Tetbury made it four before half time after a shot from Jo Hemming hit the bar and came back to Ant Hillman for a side foot volley in to the corner of the goal.

The second half saw Slimbridge start quickly and it wasn't long before they had got their first goal. Slimbridge pushing forward gave Tetbury more room and Conor Wood scored his first goal after getting on to a through ball and shooting past the keeper into the top left corner. Tetbury started to shift the ball around and get it wide with good crosses coming in from Alex Bryce and Forbes Allen. Forbes played a ball inside to Conor who slid the ball into space for Jack to get past the defender and slot the ball past the keeper. Slimbridge still played with pride and got another goal back before Connor got his second goal by beating the keeper and the defender to the ball and tapping it into the back of the next.

    5th September - Tetbury Town 5 - 2 Hardwick

This was the first game of the new season for Tetbury Town’s U16 team but after a nervous start the lads settled down well, especially after Connor Wood lobbed the keeper to score the first goal. A flurry of goals follows with Ant Hillman scoring from a free kick and a third following soon after when Wood’s challenge on the keeper landed the ball at Jamie Warner’s feet. He calmly slotted it home with his left foot. Wood also scored the fourth goal, this time when he ran onto a through ball, smoothly moved it from his left foot to his right and then toe poked it past the oncoming keeper. Tetbury Town’s fifth goal was scored by Jack Lake who picked up on a cross from Joe Hemming to strike the ball into the net. Team manager Gareth Davies says he’s delighted with this positive start after such a hard season last year. Everyone played well and did their bit to get the result.

    25th April - Abbeymeads 5 - 3 Tetbury Town

For the second time in a week Tetbury’s opposition was Abbeymeads who were looking to gain revenge for last week’s defeat. Yet it was Tetbury who started with the upper hand when Ryan Leathers’ long range effort left the home keeper stranded way off his line. Abbeymeads got themselves back into the game, going from a goal down to 2-1 up due to some generous Tetbury defending. But just before half time, Tetbury got back on level terms when Ed Acott burst through and finished from a tight angle.

The second half turned into a real end of season fair with lots of mistakes and very little quality football, which allowed the home side to score three more goals.   Leather was once again on target for Tetbury, bringing the final score to 5-3. Good performances from Chris Linnell, Joe Woodley, Glen Freeman and Callum McCloskey were the plus points to come from this game.

    21st April - Chippenham 1 - 0 Tetbury Town

Tetbury’s title ambitions were dealt a blow on Wednesday evening when the team went down 1-0 to a very good Chippenham side. The game was evenly balanced, with two very good sides cancelling each other out in both midfield and defence. However, the game was settled late into the second half when a mix up in the Tetbury defence left on of the home side’s forwards with a simple tap in. The visitors thought they had rescued a point with almost the last kick of the game when Ben Deakin let loose a tremendous shot from all of 30 yards out that crashed onto the crossbar and back into the grateful arms of the home keeper. Tetbury must now pick themselves up for the return fixture with Abbeymeads on Sunday.

    18th April - Tetbury Town 2 - 1 Abbeymeads

Tetbury’s push towards the top of the league continued on Sunday with a hard fought game at home to Abbeymeads .After a quiet start the game burst into life when Joe Snell brought down the Abbeymeads striker, who then picked himself up and blasted home the spot kick. This seemed to shake Tetbury into life and just on the stroke of half time an inswinging corner was tapped home on the far post by Pawel Rozwadowski. The second half saw Tetbury take control and another quality corner from Josh Hoare picked out Chris Linnell, who headed in from close range. Tetbury then dominated the rest of the half restricting the visitors to just the odd break and giving the home side a well deserved win.

    11 April - Tetbury Town 4 - 0 Old Town

Tetbury returned to winning ways on Sunday with a comfortable 4-0 victory against Old Town. After a fairly even opening to the game the home side began to take control. With Tom Mason and Glen Freeman running the midfield and creating some good chances it was only a matter of time before Tetbury took the lead. The goal finally came when Ed Acott burst through and scored from a tight angle. The second half started with Tetbury still in command and the points were sealed when Josh Hoare cracked home a glorious volley from 30 yards. The icing was put on the performance with a fine strike from Ryan Leather and a second from Hoare. Tetbury must take this good form into their last few games and push hard and put pressure on the top teams.

    March 28 - Tetbury Town 1 - 1  Barbury

Sunday’s game at Barbury was a tough encounter that produced little quality football but plenty of effort. The pitch was grassy but also very bumpy, which gave both teams trouble. Despite battling hard to gain the upper hand in the early stages neither team managed to take control and very few chances were created. Although Chris Linnell, Tom Mason and Dan Sandal were working hard in midfield and Joe Woodley, Callum McCloskey and Pawel Rozwadoski were strong at the back, the game had all the makings of a goalless draw. But late in the second half a fine strike from the edge of the box gave Joe Snell no chance and Barbury took the lead. This spurred Tetbury on and they then had their best spell of the game. It was no surprise when a defence-splitting pass from Linnell was seized on by Josh Hoare who raced away, rounded the keeper and slotted the ball into an empty net. The draw was probably the result both teams deserved for all the effort they put in.

    21 March - Tetbury Town 7 - 0  Wootton Bassett

Tetbury’s recent good run continued on Sunday with a comfortable seven goal victory at home to Wootton Bassett. In a game they totally dominated the game from start to finish, Tetbury opened the scoring when Kieron Waite slotted home from close in. Ed Acott then helped himself to a hatrick before half time and when Ryan Leather scored, the game was effectively over as a contest. There was one more goal before half time – from Chris Linnell scoring his first for the club.

The second half was much like the first. Tetbury were on cruise control with Ben Deakin, who created four of the sevengoals, continuing to enjoy himself, Josh Hoare and Glen Freeman totally dominating the midfield and any Bassett attacks being quickly snuffed out by the solid back three of Callum McCluskey, Joe Woodley and Pawel Rozwadowski. The only suprise of the second half was that Tetbury only added one more goal - a fourth for Ed Acott.

    14 March - Tetbury Town 4-1 Barbury

Tetbury Town's long awaited clash with Barbury never really lived up to the hype the match had generated when it took place on the Rec on Sunday morning. The game was over as a contest within 20 minutes thanks to an outstanding performance from Tetbury, which swept them into a three goal lead. The first came after a defensive mix up left Keiron Waite all alone in front of goal, and he gratefuly tapped home. The second quickly followed after Waite was tripped up in the box and Josh Hoare stepped forward to drive home the spot kick. Another defensive error gave Waite the chance to score Tetbury's third when once again he was generously left alone in front of the goal and duly obliged by slotting the ball home.

The second half started in much the same vein with Hoare's corner glanced home by Glenn Freeman. Every player on the team did their bit to secure Tetbury’s victory by showing great team spirit and fight. Tetbury were solid at the back, disciplined and creative in midfield and strong, physical and accurate upfront. Special mention goes to Callum McCloskey, Ryan Leather, Ed Acott and Chris Linnell for their fine performances - and it was good to see Tom Mason back in action after a long break through injury. Managers Carl Wait and Daz were rightly proud of the team and are looking forward to next week’s home game against Wootton Bassett.

    7 March - TETBURY TOWN 3 - 0 SHAW

Tetbury took control of this game right from the kick off and it was no great surprise when they took the lead. Josh Hoare’s twenty yard strike gave the Shaw keeper no chance and from then on Tetbury continued to dominate. A fine run from Ben Deakin set up Ryan Leather for the second goal, which sent the team in at half time on a very positive note.

The second half was much the same as the first with Tetbury in control and Shaw restricted to the odd break. The game was sealed when a quality cross from Deakin was flicked on by Kieran Waite for Hoare to tap in on the far post. A good all round team effort delivered this result, with special mention to Joe Woodley, Glen Freeman, PAV and J Snell who all put in great performances.

    7 February - Tetbury Town 3 – 1 Greenmeadows

Tetburys league season got underway again on Sunday with a competitive home game against Greenmeadow. The first half was very even with few clear cut chances and both defences well on top. Tetbury’s Chris Linnell was having his best game of the season, while Pawel Rozwadowski, Sam Wilkins, Ben Deakin Ryan Leathe and Joe Woodley were also in good form. A swift passing move saw Ed Acott upended on the edge of the box, but Josh Hoare stepped up and crashed home the free kick.

Both sides worked hard in the second half but it was Tetbury that took charge with two quick goals, first when a Josh Hoare corner was headed home unchallenged by Glen Freeman and then when a Hoare free kick was fumbled by the keeper giving Kieran Waite the chance to tap home the rebound. Greenmeadow ended the game by getting the goal their performance deserved.

13 December Old Town 5–5 Tetbury Town

Tetbury returned to league action on Sunday with a tricky away game against Old Town, watched by a new management team. Tetbury started the game well but within 15 minutes were two goals down and a little disjointed. However, they got back into it after good passing from Sam Wilkins, Tom Mason and Joe Woodley allowed Josh Hoare to score from 35 yards. Kieran Waite followed up with another lob, this time from 25 yards, and the teams went in level at half time.

After the break Tetbury took the lead with a fine strike from Ed Acott but the joy was short lived as Old Town struck back with two quick goals. Tetbury levelled with another Ascott goal but again Old Town took the lead. It looked like they were going to take the points as well but with seconds to go Callum Endicott fired home a volley that once again levelled the score in what was a very entertaining game.

    22 November - Tetbury Town 5 - 0 Kings Stanley

Tetbury progressed to the next round of the County Cup on Sunday with a comfortable 5 0 victory over Kings Stanley. They dominated the game from the start and were quickly into their stride. Joe Woodley caused problems down the left, while Glen Freeman and Sam Wilkins controlled the midfield and set up Tom Mason who struck a fierce shot that the keeper did well to save. Tetbury took the lead when Sam Wilkins rose high above the defence to head home. He added his second with a close range effort, while Josh Hoare scored the third with the aid of the post.

The second half saw Tetbury staying in control and snuffing out any Stanley breaks thanks to the dominate pairing of Rozwadowski and Linnell. A powerful run and cross from Hoare found Kieran Waite on the back post and he duly fired home. The final goal was a carbon copy of the fourth, this time with Ben Deakin providing the cross for Waite to tap in. A fine all round performance was capped by Mr McCloskey's sterling efforts to keep his son dry with the aid of a large umbrella.

    15 November - Tetbury Town 1 – 3 Barbury

Tetbury made an early exit from the league cup after losing at home to Barbury. Barbury made the better start without creating any clear chances and rarely troubled stand-in keeper Callum McClosky. But it was late on in the first half when Barbury took the lead from an in swinging corner, which was headed home.

The second half was an even contest with Glenn Freeman and Tom Mason working well in midfield. Pavel and Joe Woodley looking more secure at the back but all their efforts failed to create many chances and it was no real surprise when Barbury doubled their lead, again with an inswinging corner that this time tapped in on the far post. Tetbury then had their best period of the game . Sam Wilkins working hard as did Ben Deakin and Josh Hoare but Barbury forced another corner from a rare break and somehow the ball sailed straight into the net. With the game now won, Barbury relaxed a little and gave away a free kick, which gave Josh Hoare the opportunity to stand up and take, and crash the ball home from 25 yards. Tetbury must now pick themselves up for the County Cup this weekend.

    October 4 - Tetbury town 3 - 0 Croft A

Tetbury’s U16’s put in a great home performance against Croft A, with the team keeping good shape throughout. On the pitch for Tetbury were Joe Snell, Pav, Chris Lynell, Calum Mc Closkey, Joe Woodley, Tom Mason, Sam Wilkins, Glenn Freeman, Luke Slater, Rhino, Josh Hoare, Ben Deakin, Dan Sandell and Ed Adcott.

The first goal came from a thumping header from Captain Glenn Freeman. After good pressure from Tetbury, Josh Hoare scored a stunning 25 yarder, which put the score at 2-0 at half time.

In the second half Tom Mason was in fine form in the holding role and with the midfield five controlling the game, it looked a matter of time before Tetbury scored again. The goal came after positive running from Ed Adcott was rewarded with a penalty, which was coolly put away by Man of the Match Glenn Freeman. Chris Lynell, Pav and Tom Mason can be very pleased with the way they played.
